is a highly experienced insurance professional who started his career at Gerling where he held several management positions until he was appointed a full member of the board of Gerling Industrie Service AG and Gerling Konzern Allgemeine AG in 1999. During his time at Gerling, Dr. Herold supervised various restructuring and strategy projects in close cooperation with McKinsey and Roland Berger. After leaving the Gerling Group, Dr. Herold started his own consultancy business and in 2003 cofounded Acxit Risk Management. Since late 2002 Dr. Herold teaches as Lecturer for Industrial Insurance at the University of Cologne and is looking forward to be appointed to a professorship. Dr. Herold graduated as a construction engineer and industrial engineer from the university of Aachen. After obtaining his PhD from the University of Essen, he graduated as Insurance Business Consultant from the Higher Technical College of Cologne. |
