is the ex-CEO and founder of Broadnet AG.As one of the first companies in Germany, Broadnet developed a high speed local loop connection for broadband internet connectivity based on radio technology (wireless local loop = WLL). Until 1999 the company successfully expanded its business model into Germany’s ten leading metropolitan areas.
In 2000 the company successfully realized its IPO on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Through further acquisitions such as Comcast Corp., KKFNet AG, et al. the company kept growing at an impressive speed and became one of the leading broadband internet carriers in Germany by building the third largest „Local Loop” network based on WLL and DSL technology.In Summer 2006 Broadnet AG was acquired by QSC AG and subsequently Mr. Brügmann resigned as CEO of Broadnet AG.
In December 2006 Mr. Brügmann joined Acxit Capital Management as a Managing Director where he focuses on the company’s IT / Telco and Media activities.
Mr. Brügmann started his career as a bank apprentice. Later on he worked as a trader at Deutsche Bank’s trading floor in Frankfurt. In 1994 he changed to Lehman Brothers where he worked in ‚Institutional Sales’ and covered High-Net-Worth Individuals. In 1995 Mr. Brügmann changed to Prudential Bache.
Mr. Brügmann studied in the US and holds a degree in business administration.
