Growth funding for Keller Sports

Munich, May 2015. European online sporting goods retailer Keller Sports receives further million-euro investment for growth in additional categories and countries as well as brand development.


Keller Sports, a European online retailer of sporting goods, has secured additional growth funding in the million-euro range. The new injection of capital was made by existing shareholders, among them once again Scout24 co-founder Christian Mangstl, as well as a private equity fund as a new investor. It will provide the basis for fast-track expansion of the company’s European business. Keller Sports launched new shops in Italy at the end of 2014 as well as in the UK at the beginning of May 2015. In October 2014, the product range was extended to include an „Outdoor“ category. A „Winter Sports“ section is to follow towards the end of 2015. Keller Sports was recently honoured as the best pure online player in the „Sports“ category by Europe’s largest e-commerce magazine Internetworld Business. In acknowledging the company’s performance, the panel of experts cited the „… particularly dynamic and intuitive shopping experience“ at ACXIT Capital Partners acted as the exclusive advisor of Keller Sports in this transaction.

Pan-European online sporting goods retailer Keller Sports, has announced the closing of a growth financing round.

Existing investors, among them Scout24 co-founder and former CEO Christian Mangstl, as well as a private equity fund as a new shareholder have decided to invest in the company, thus building on its success. Keller Sports again managed to propel its business forward considerably in 2014. The new million-euro investment will be used to maintain its strong momentum of growth and reinforce its brand.
