Frankfurt am Main, September 2021. ACXIT Capital Partners acted as the exclusive M&A and financial advisor to the shareholders on the trade sale of Römergarten Senioren-Residenzen GmbH, a high-quality operator of elderly care facilities, to Domidep a portfolio company of the global infrastructure investment manager I Squared Capital.
The portfolio of Römergarten Senioren-Residenzen comprises eight modern nursing homes in the federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse, with a total of 660 beds, providing a range of services including nursing care, assisted living, and specialized dementia care.
This acquisition, concluded in August 2021, builds on the acquired platform of Römergarten facilities by I Squared Capital in December 2020, which served as a market entry in Germany and ideally expands the existing portfolio with nursing care facilities of the same brand.
Domidep, a portfolio company of I Squared Capital is one of France’s largest private operators of elderly care homes, founded in 1989. In addition to the Römergarten facilities, the group operates over 110 facilities in France and Belgium. For Domidep, the acquisition further strives the group’s internationalisation strategy and increases their geographical footprint in Germany.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
Following the acquisition of advita by DomusVi Group, and sale of Artemed Pflegezentren to Perpetua, this transaction represents the third deal of ACXIT Capital Partners in the nursing care market in Germany for 2021.
