USE OF COOKIES AND PLUGINS
Cookies are small text files that websites often store on the hard drives of visitors to their websites. They are often used to make websites work or work more efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the website.
A cookie contains a unique number that is used to recognise your computer when a user of your computer returns to a previously visited website. We use cookies to improve our visitors’ online experience, for statistical purposes and to better understand how our websites are used. For example, cookies can tell us if you have visited our sites before or if you are a new visitor.
There are two broad categories of cookies – “first party cookies” and “third party cookies”. First party cookies are cookies that are sent directly to your computer by the website operator and are only used by the website operator to recognise your computer when it visits this website again. Third-party cookies are provided by a service provider on behalf of the website operator and may be used by the service provider to recognise your computer when it visits other websites. Third party cookies are most commonly used for website analytics or advertising purposes.

MATOMO
We use the web analysis service Matomo to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.
We use Matomo with the extension “AnonymizeIP”. This means that IP addresses are processed in abbreviated form, which means that they cannot be directly linked to a person. The IP address transmitted by your browser via Matomo is not merged with other data collected by us. The Matomo software and the data collected using Matomo are operated, stored and processed exclusively on our own servers. The Matomo program is an open source project. Information from the third-party provider on data protection is available at https://matomo.org/privacy/.

GOOGLE FONTS
On our websites, we use Google Fonts, a directory of over 800 fonts that Google Inc. makes available to its users free of charge. For the European area, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services.
You do not have to register to use Google fonts and no cookies are stored in your browser. The files (CSS, fonts) are requested via the Google domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. According to Google, the requests for CSS and fonts are completely separate from all other Google services. Even if you have a Google account, your Google account information is not transmitted to Google. Google records the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and the fonts used and stores this data securely.
With Google Fonts, we can use fonts on our websites without having to upload them to our own server. Google Fonts is an important component to keep the quality of our websites high and to speed up the loading time. All Google Fonts are automatically optimized for the web. This saves data volume and is a great advantage especially for use with mobile devices. Thanks to the fast Content Delivery Network (CDN), there are no cross-platform problems with Google Fonts. Google Fonts supports all major browsers and works reliably on most modern mobile operating systems.
When you visit our websites, the fonts are reloaded via a Google server. This transmits data to the Google servers. In this way, Google also recognises that you or your IP address are visiting our website. The Google Fonts API (“Application Programming Interface”) was developed to reduce the use, storage and collection of end user data to what is necessary for the proper provision of fonts. Each Google Font request also automatically transfers information such as language settings, IP address, browser version, browser screen resolution and browser name to the Google servers. Whether this data is also stored cannot be clearly determined or is not clearly communicated by Google.
Google stores requests for CSS assets for one day on its servers, which are mainly located outside the EU. The font files are stored by Google for one year. Through the collected usage figures, Google can determine how well the individual fonts are received. Google thus pursues the goal of fundamentally improving the loading time of websites.
The data that Google stores for one day or one year cannot simply be deleted. The data is automatically transmitted to Google when the page is called up. In order to delete this data prematurely, you must contact Google support at https://support.google.com/?hl=de&tid=331599984595. In this case, you can only prevent data storage if you do not visit our site. You can find more information at: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?tid=331599984595.

PLUGINS

FACEBOOK
Our website uses plugins of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not logged on to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking on the “Like” button or making a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

LINKEDIN
We use a plugin of the network LinkedIn on our website. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. With each individual visit to our website that is equipped with such a component, this component causes the browser you are using to download a corresponding representation of the component from LinkedIn. This process informs LinkedIn which specific page of our website is currently being visited. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend Button” while you are logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the content of our pages to your LinkedIn profile. This enables LinkedIn to assign the visit to our pages to your LinkedIn user account. We have no influence on the data that LinkedIn collects through this, nor on the scope of this data collected by LinkedIn. We also have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to LinkedIn. To prevent data collection by LinkedIn, you can log out of your account. Details on data collection by LinkedIn as well as your rights and setting options can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy notices. You can find this information at http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

TWITTER
Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. In the process, data is also transferred to Twitter. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter. You can find more information on this in Twitter’s privacy policy at: https://twitter.com/privacy.
You can change your privacy settings on Twitter in your account settings at https://twitter.com/account/settings.

XING
We use the “Share Button” from XING on our website. Therefore, when you call up this website, a connection is established via your browser to the servers of XING AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. This is how the share functions (e.g. the display of the counter value) are provided. No personal data relating to your visit to this website is stored. In particular, no IP addresses are stored by XING. Nor is your usage behaviour evaluated. The current information on data protection with regard to the “Share Button” and other relevant information can be found at https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection.

Please note, however, that there is no such thing as perfect security on the Internet. Therefore, we strive to protect your personal information, but when information is transmitted over the Internet, it may be accessed and used by unauthorised persons.

You may withdraw your consent in whole or in part at any time with effect for the future. Processing based on your consent until its revocation remains unaffected by this.
